Takeaway Creative Co. is a small, start-up venture designed to offer branding services to small businesses at an affordable cost.
The name "Takeaway" reflects the a-la-carte services that are available for clients to customize for their needs.
While traveling, I co-run Takeaway as an on-the-go business. My passion for branding and copywriting manifested in the creation of Takeaway itself. Browse through the website for samples of my short form copy such as naming and headlines — as well as overall branding.
Goodwill Industries has a problem. There is a disconnect between their audiences of donors, shoppers, and job seekers. They also have an outdated image, literally, as consumers view Goodwill as a place to buy old, outdated clothing and home goods.
I rebranded Goodwill with the intention of connecting their audiences under centralized branding, while bringing creativity and innovation to outdated ideas and processes.
I created a revolving tagline for Goodwill to acknowledge the different audiences, while uniting them under one goal. The idea of "Up" is that when we repurpose things to a new use, they become better and innovative. For job seekers, when they come to Goodwill they are bettering their future.
I created a series of new in-store signs for Goodwill that play off the tagline. This brings a fresh perspective and feeling of potential to Goodwill stores.
Job Center Kiosk
Goodwill Job Centers are separate locations from their retail stores. The Job Kiosk would bring together the two locations by engaging with retail shoppers who may be potential job-seekers. Interested shoppers could stop and take a quick and easy assessment that then directs them to a Goodwill Job Center location.
The Job Assessment is done with touch screens to make it easy and fast. Shoppers answer several questions about their interests and work habits. Then they are given a breakdown of their skills. Lastly, they are presented with relevant jobs and job openings that may suit them. Goodwill Job Center classes and help sessions are listed if the shopper is interested in pursuing a job or career.
Pea Throwers Restaurant
Pea Throwers began as an assignment to create a menu for our dream restaurant. Being the picky eater I am, I created a restaurant that caters to the person who orders from the kid's menu with no shame. I incorporated my love of watercolor art to create a menu that represents the spirit of being a kid at heart and hating veggies with a passion.
